{my favorite fiber art wall hanging, scored this beauty for only $2!}

This week has been pretty nice, the weather has been decently warm so we've been enjoying many walks. I can't wait for it to be warm enough to go for hikes! Looking into buying a good carrier for Rose. I am skeptical of buying online because I like to try things like that on... any suggestions?

Thumbprint/Bird's Nest Cookies

These cookies are my all time favorite and such a tasty treat!

What you'll need...

1 cup ground almonds
1 cup sweetened coconut
2 cups flour
1 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup confectioners sugar

About a cup of your favorite jam.

How to...

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Cream the sugar, butter, and vanilla together until fluffy. Then gradually add the almonds, coconut, and flour.
Form the dough into small balls then use your finger or the end of a wooden spoon to create a small hole. Be sure not to go all the way through the dough to the pan.

Bake for 16-18 minutes.  While your cookies are cooling bring the jam to a gentle boil. Once the cookies are slightly cooled dust with confectioners sugar, then fill the holes with jam and let cool to room temperature before eating! ENJOY! :)

Eternity.

Check out that link! So inspiring and beautiful. I teared up reading each and every story, looking at the photos of these very in love couples. I hope that Cody and I are in love forever. He was my first love and now that he has been mine again for a year I won't ever let go. I have never known a man so loyal, supportive, and caring. You only meet a few people in life, outside of family, who will be there through anything and love you no matter what. I really believe in marriage and soul mates and finding one person that you can spend your entire life beside.

Why put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari?

Dear Miss Lisa Khoury,

Clearly you have your own complex. I sincerely hope you can work through it before you might have the chance to try and imprint this closed minded way of thinking on any children. This is easily the most disappointing thing I have ever read. You just set women back about 100 years, at least the ones who will read this and feel ugly and not worth anything because maybe they spend more time educating themselves than going to the mall and getting their nails done... There is NOTHING more beautiful than a woman who is intelligent and confident with her body and appearance the way she intends it to be or not! Personally, I will take this article as empowerment, to prove all people like you wrong! Women are more than just a sex object for men to enjoy looking at, and we do hold all the power but not because we are "elegant" but because we are strong, intelligent, opinionated, have depth and personality!

Sincerely,
Missy McKay
